About
A scholarship for students seeking a degree in the medical laboratory profession who live in Adena Health System’s nine-county service area. Eligible applicants must meet Adena’s general Hope For Our Future requirements such as a minimum GPA or GED score. The award supports students accepted into medical laboratory associate or bachelor’s (Medical Technology) programs.
To help students pursue careers in health care by supporting their education.
Who can apply
Live in one of Adena Health System's nine-county service area (Ross, Fayette, Pickaway, Highland, Jackson, Scioto, Vinton, Pike, Hocking).
“Scholarships are available to any high school student residing in one of the counties Adena Health System considers to be part of its service area who is pursuing an education within the field of health care. Those counties include: Ross, Fayette, Pickaway, Highland, Jackson, Scioto, Vinton, Pike, and Hocking”
Have a high school Grade Point Average of at least 3.0.
“Applicants must have a high school Grade Point Average of at least 3.0 and be receiving a high school diploma or have a GED score of at least 550 to be considered.”
Be a high school student.

Be seeking a degree in the medical laboratory profession.
“Gordon F. Streicher Memorial Scholarship Endowment: Students seeking a degree in the medical laboratory profession. Recipients must be second-year students accepted into a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology (MT) program or have been accepted into a program leading to an Associate’s degree in Laboratory Sciences. Students pursuing this scholarship must live in one of the nine counties making up Adena’s service area.”
