Association for Women in Architecture Foundation
About
Annual cash awards for women students pursuing college degrees in architecture, landscape architecture, urban design/land planning, interior design, historic preservation or environmental design. Applicants must be female residents of California or attending a California school and enrolled in a qualifying major. Minimum completed units in the major are required (different thresholds for community college students). The 2027 awards cycle will open in fall of 2026.
Sponsoring an AWAF Scholarship reflects a commitment to supporting and encouraging female students as they strive to achieve their educational goals and enter the design professions.
Who can apply
Be female.

“The Association for Women in Architecture Foundation offers annual cash awards to women students studying Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design and/or Land Planning, Interior Design, Historic Preservation or Environmental Design leading to a college degree.”
Have completed a minimum of 18 units in the major by the application due date (for non-community college applicants).
