The Red Cedar Scholarship is awarded to dependents or grandchildren of MSU alumni who are incoming domestic out-of-state first-year students. It provides $1,250 per year and is intended to be applied for up to eight semesters.
Who can apply
Be an incoming first-year (college freshman) student.
“The following scholarships are awarded to incoming domestic out-of-state first-year students for qualifying educational expenses , pending available funding, and are contingent upon students maintaining out-of-state residency status.”
Be a dependent or grandchild of an MSU alumnus.
“Awarded to dependents or grandchildren of MSU alumni; $1,250 annually for eight semesters.”
Be a domestic out-of-state student and maintain out-of-state residency status.
