About
A scholarship for students who plan to work in health care after graduation and who are dependents of Adena caregivers living in Adena’s nine-county service area. Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence. Awards support education in any field of study for those with a desire to work in health care.
To help students pursue careers connected with health care and support future healthcare professionals in Adena’s service area.
Who can apply
Be a dependent of an Adena caregiver.
“Must be a dependent of an Adena caregiver who demonstrates academic excellence.”
Live in one of Adena Health System's nine-county service area (Ross, Fayette, Pickaway, Highland, Jackson, Scioto, Vinton, Pike, Hocking) in Ohio.
“For consideration of this scholarship, the dependent must live within Adena’s nine-county service area.”
Be a high school student.
“Scholarships are available to any high school student residing in one of the counties Adena Health System considers to be part of its service area who is pursuing an education within the field of health care.”
Have a high school diploma or a GED score of at least 550.
“Applicants must ... be receiving a high school diploma or have a GED score of at least 550 to be considered.”
Demonstrate a desire to work in health care after graduation.
“Available to students in any field of study, but applicants must have a desire to work in health care post-graduation.”
Have a high school GPA of at least 3.0.
“Applicants must have a high school Grade Point Average of at least 3.0”
Essay prompts
- 1.A personal essay. The short essay may be typed into the online application and should in some way address the idea of Hope for our Future.
